
Text-to-speech Software for MS-Windows
WinSpeech reads text and produces speech to the audio output devices (sound card or PC
internal speaker). WinSpeech takes text from files, Windows Clipboard, or through the DDE
links from other Windows applications.
System requirements: IBM PC or compatible computer, Windows 3.1x/95/98 (WinSpeech
3.0) or Windows 95/98/NT (WinSpeech 3.0N), Windows compatible sound card is recommended
for Windows 3.1x/95, and is required for running on Windows NT.

Voice Font:
"usenm08a.wsf" is the male voice font made from the speech data of the early
versions. To use it with the WinSpeech 3.0(N), please follow these steps:
(1) Copy the file "usenm08a.wsf" to the directory where your program is
installed (usually "c:\wspeech").
(2) Start the WinSpeech 3.0(N) program.
(3) Click the "Voice Font" from the "Language" menu to bring up the
"Select VOICE FONT to use" dialog window.
(4) Select the "usenm08a.wsf" as the file to use.

Chat Mate 1.1
A front-end utility program to work with WinSpeech 3.0(N) to produce speech in chat rooms
provided by online service systems such as AOL and WOW. Can also be used for monitoring
text changes in other applications.
